The KARODUR multilayer boards are produced with a broad diversified choice of construction materials from the whole thermo-modeling and duet-modeling sector.
On this occasion, in particular the use of PVC C offers the possibility to determine hardness and toughness quite individually.
Other advantages of this new material are his very good resistance to chemicals and higher temperatures, just in comparison to already known materials.
KAROTEC is a PVC setting, which differs optically from materials of the same kind. Here components with the different characteristic features which deliver more variability to the material. According to construction needs the material is friendlier to processing or keeps his firmness, importantly, for example, a necessity for complicated components.
In 2009 PVC C (REACh Correspondent / Eu directive was introduced in the product port folio for the first time in 2006 / the EC).
It is suited particularly for the application in the chemical area, in the container construction and in the exhaust as well as sewage technology:
KAROTEC PP-SPE is an absolutely new composite material which completely exists of PP (Polypropylene).
The material is bound with fibers oriented to high and reaches very good mechanic qualities in pressed form, made from a plastic that is completely recyclable the in Pressed sheets.
The KARODUR-Group are specialist in the manufacture of thermoplastic composite materials, have developed a new thermoplastic lightweight PP
based panel. They are available in various versions: KAROTEC VPLight, VP Medium and VP Strong.
KAROTEC-Lightweight boards can be used as a substitute for a various range of materials (steel, aluminum) and find their use in the widest range of
applications and industries. A very interesting property of the KAROTECboards are their weight, in particular for those sectors in which a weight
reduction to higher energy efficiency and thus to achieve significant cost savings.
In the production of high-performance thermoplastic composites, the matrix materialspolypropylene (PP), polyamides (PA), polyphthalamides (PPA), thermoplastic polyester (PBT), polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) and polyethylene (HDPE) are reinforced with woven or nonwoven fibres (glass/carbon fiber technology). The outcome are innovative composites featuring cross sections with excellent mechanical properties and high rigidity despite low energy absorption. The product is mouldable and can serve as a substitute for steel, aluminium, magnesium, for example, or as extra reinforcement
for other materials.
